Garden Party....

Cielo is holding a garden party...visit the house in the roses to see garden from around the globe.. I don't have a garden where I live now. but I have a only plant that is a Jasmine. which remainds me of my home...in Kerala....in this map you can see Kerala...yes red mark, ribbon shapped little state....

this is the jasmine i am taking care of like a baby for 4 years now. in winter i will keep her indoor...

we have this kind of jasmine in home...
front view of our house...

can you see wax apples in this photo...this is our back yard....

In our backyard we have 5 different kind of mangos, different kind of bananas, jackfruit, coconut trees, papaya, Guava, wax apple, Pine apple, Amla, Sugar apple, sapota, and a lot of exotic fruits ...i don't even know their english names..... Back in home we have a beautiful garden. every house have a garden and a vegetable garden. we get our vegetables and fruits from backyard...year around.
this is a typical house...

A little bit about Kerala.
Life in kerala is so simple. beautiful place with green and water every where..
"With the Arabian Sea in the west, the Western Ghats towering 500-2700 ms in the east and networked by 44 rivers, Kerala enjoys unique geographical features. An equable climate. A long shoreline with serene beaches. Tranquil streches of emerald backwaters. Lush hill stations and exotic wildlife. Waterfalls. Sprawling plantations and paddy fields. Ayurvedic health holidays. Enchanting art forms. Magical festivals. Historic and cultural monuments. An exotic cuisine...

A hundred percent literate people. World-class health care systems. India's lowest infant mortality and highest life expectancy rates.

Mean annual temperatures range from 25.0–27.5 °C in the coastal lowlands to 20.0–22.5 °C in the highlands. With 120–140 rainy days per year, Kerala has a wet and maritime tropical climate influenced by the seasonal heavy rains of the southwest summer monsoon.

Almost a fourth of India's 10,000 plant species are found in the state. Among the almost 4,000 flowering plant species (1,272 of which are endemic to Kerala and 159 threatened) are 900 species of highly sought medicinal plants. Nearly half of Kerala's people are dependent on agriculture alone for income. Some 600 varieties of rice (Kerala's most important staple food and cereal crop) are harvested from 3105.21 km² .Other key crops include coconut, tea, coffee, rubber, cashews, and spices—including pepper, cardamom, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
These are some common plants any house in Kerala have..

Flower has a important role in daily life...used in shrines in home, temples, and for decoration

Here is flower stand selling flowers...

I didn't mention roses, gardenia, basil and a lot of other common plants...simple excuse am so tied....this EMS is getting me :) I am craving for a bit of home made food...my mom's special...i can't get it...but am thinking about my home and starving....i can't even drink a glass of water...
love you all

Thank you so much for sharing your garden and your beautiful country and state. Thank you for the information, and the photos are beautiful! Palms and banana trees grow where I live, too (south Alabama, USA), but we rarely harvest bananas. A few lucky people are able to grow them (certain varieties).

I hope you will start feeling better soon, and that you will have a happy, healthy baby!

Hello Bindi. Thank you so much for sharing your garden post with me. I really enjoyed reading and veiwing those absolutely beautiful pictures of your homeland. It looks like paradise there. Your photos make me want to go there and visit someday. I'm sure the food is delicious too. Exotic fruits are my favorite kinds of fruits, but they are expensive where I live. I still do make sure to add a few to my grocery list every week. The first time I tried sugar apples was while on vacation on the island of Eleuthera in the early 90's. I bought them off of a kind island woman at a road side stand. I loved them so much that I went back to her stand through out the rest of my vacation for more sugar apples. Have a blessed day

Hi honey, just checking in. Cece cracked me up! The woman's too funny. I just read all the comments too. Wow! Huge fan club and you deserve it.

Hope today is better than yesterday. Hang in there sweetie. It has to get better. We all love. You know that. And if we could take your place,

I don't think a single one of us would!!! (Of course I'm laughing. And no, I'm not serious, you know I just love to make you laugh.) Where do I think I am honey, The Wild Onion!? **Slams fist on bar and says "Jorge, tea for everybody my dear man." Jorge slams fist on bar and replies "Get in yourself."** Bindi, we're having trouble with Jorge. Gig wants to fire him, but we can't do that, we don't even pay him!

Love you baby. Hold on.

Hi sweetie. I'm #68. At this rate, if you do nothing, you'll reach #100! Good for you.

Thanks for the visits!!! Love to hear your voice, but please be kind to yourself and don't do too much. I worry you know.

Well, I'm off to the Cafe to see what the hecks going on. Cece's left me in charge while she'd taken time to be with her dad, so I can't let her down. The new bartender didn't show up last night, so I had to haul "Lazy Jorge" back in by the ear to help me out. Bindi, what happened to that man?!!! Remember when he was so efficient!!? Apparently we turned him into a Lazyboy. I do believe you can get him for half price up at the Lazyboy showroom.

Stop by and we'll get you some tea. Oh, and Bob stocked the frig with veggies, so we're up and runnin' honey! I also found two of those little seedless baby watermelons on sale for $5. They're all yours.

Love you to bits,
Suze XO
