I AM THANKFUL :)
I heard all the Sundays the pastor in the church asking today do you have anything to be thankful for so here is a long list to be thankful for (my Pappa forward me, am sharing with you all here)
I AM THANKFUL:
FOR THE WIFE
WHO SAYS IT'S HOT DOGS TONIGHT,
BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME,
AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
FOR THE HUSBAND
WHO IS ON THE SOFA
BEING A COUCH POTATO,
BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME
AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.
FOR THE TEENAGER
WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES
BECAUSE IT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME,
NOT ON THE STREETS.
FOR THE TAXES I PAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I AM EMPLOYED.
FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE
BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.
FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.
FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE
FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING,
WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING,
AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME.
FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING
I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT
BECAUSE IT MEANS
WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH..
FOR THE PARKING SPOT
I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING
AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.
FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I AM WARM.
FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH
WHO SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS
I CAN HEAR.
FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.
FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES
AT THE END OF THE DAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN
CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.
FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF
IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE.
AND FINALLY, FOR TOO MUCH E-MAIL
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE
FRIENDS WHO ARE THINKING OF ME.
Live well, Laugh often, & Love with all of your heart!
Am so thankful for each of you for your kind words and love..
love you all....

Bindi ~ Savanna Rae is back. She's on my current post. I'm shocked because honestly I thought she was gone forever. She still needs us. Perhaps you could stop by and give her some of your ususal love. Life is often so unpredictable.
ReplyDeleteI love you sweetie,
XO
Read your current post. God how I love you with all my heart. Where did I find you sweetie? I sometimes can't believe a blog brought you all to me. It seems the life of fantasy. Doesn't it?

Love you.
bindi
Dear Bindi,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to have you in my life, thanks for the sweet words. Remember..."Always be yourself...
Love, Debbie
What a wonderful blog site you have created. I don't know how you got my blog name (kathy's nuggets), but it doesn't really matter. In response to your question about the cat, yes, he is mine. He wasn't always mine. He adopted me, left his owner and decided he liked it better here with me. He's been a loyal friend for almost a decade now, so he is like family now. Much love, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteBindi, thanks again for visiting my blog and leaving a nice comment. My daughter is in Asia for her last semester at Ball State University. You might want to visit her blog, as she is writing about her experience. Her blog is: Vicariously Yours. I think you will enjoy her entries. Kathy.
